Raleigh, NC – The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for parts of the western and central Piedmont, extending to the northern Coastal Plain, effective from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST on Wednesday.
According to the advisory, temperatures could drop as low as 32 degrees, posing a risk to sensitive outdoor plants and vegetation. Residents in affected areas, including the cities of Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem, are advised to cover plants or bring them indoors to prevent frost damage.
The advisory covers several counties, including Person, Granville, Guilford, and Johnston, and will impact a wide area across North Carolina. The National Weather Service recommends taking precautionary measures tonight to safeguard any vulnerable plants ahead of the expected frost.
