Shreveport, LA – A strong cold front sweeping through the ArkLaTex region Tuesday will bring a marginal risk of severe weather, according to the National Weather Service in Shreveport.
The main threat from these storms will be isolated large hail and damaging winds, particularly during the early afternoon through evening hours across northeast Texas, northern Louisiana, and southern Arkansas.
Forecasters stress that the risk of a tornado is low, but not zero. Most areas can expect brief, gusty thunderstorms as the front pushes through, followed by cooler and drier air later tonight.
Residents are advised to stay weather-aware and monitor alerts throughout the day, as even a marginal setup can produce localized severe impacts.
