New York, NY — Monday will bring sunshine to the New York City area, but winter’s bite remains with brisk winds and freezing nights.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s high will reach 42°F, with sunny skies providing some daytime relief. Wind chills, however, could make it feel as cold as 20°F during the morning hours. Residents should bundle up for morning commutes or outdoor activities.

Nighttime lows on Monday will drop to around 29°F, with wind chills hovering between 20°F and 25°F. Breezy conditions will continue into Tuesday, with wind gusts reaching up to 31 mph, especially in areas like Long Island and New Jersey.

Tuesday’s forecast predicts highs near 32°F with mostly sunny skies, but gusty winds will keep temperatures feeling much colder. Wednesday will offer a slight reprieve with highs in the mid-30s and less severe winds.

Drivers should exercise caution on roadways such as I-95 and the Belt Parkway due to slick patches overnight. Pedestrians are advised to watch for icy spots, particularly in shaded areas where melting hasn’t occurred.

Looking ahead, the week will stay dry with daytime highs climbing slightly to the upper 30s by Thursday and Friday. Overnight lows will persist in the mid-20s.
