Cohoes, NY – New York State Police are searching for a suspect following a homicide on Earl Lynn Court in Cohoes Sunday, September 14, 2025.
According to New York State Police, the suspect has been identified as Anthony G. Bechand, 53, who remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Investigators report that Bechand is described as a white male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. His clothing description is unknown.
Authorities believe Bechand had been traveling in a white 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, which was located earlier Sunday on County Route 60 at the intersection of County Route 86 in the Town of Brighton, Franklin County.
The New York State Police, in coordination with the Cohoes Police Department, are urging the public not to approach Bechand if seen. Instead, anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact New York State Police at 518-897-2000.
Police emphasized that community assistance is critical as the investigation continues.
