Corpus Christi, Texas – South Texas residents are facing a stretch of brutal heat through early next week, with temperatures climbing as high as 105°F by Monday in cities like Corpus Christi, Alice, and Laredo. Extreme UV levels and dry conditions will make outdoor activity dangerous during peak afternoon hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, highs will consistently range from 100°F to 105°F through Tuesday, with overnight lows offering little relief—remaining in the upper 70s to low 80s. Rain chances are just 15% Friday and near zero over the weekend, as southeast winds continue to funnel in hot, humid air from the Gulf.

Across the region, Laredo is forecast to hit 103°F Friday, with Freer and Tilden each pushing 100°F or more. Even coastal spots like Rockport and Port Lavaca are expected to reach the upper 90s daily, posing elevated heat risks for beachgoers and outdoor workers.

Texans are urged to limit time outside, stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and avoid strenuous activities during the hottest part of the day. Pets and children should never be left in vehicles, even for short periods.

The excessive heat will likely continue into midweek. Additional advisories may be issued if conditions worsen.
