San Diego, Calif. – Drivers along the coast may face patchy fog through late mornings this week, though afternoons will clear to mostly sunny skies with comfortable highs in the 70s and low 80s.

According to the National Weather Service in San Diego, fog will linger until about 11 a.m. Sunday before skies turn sunny with a high near 82 degrees. A similar pattern holds through Thursday, with nighttime clouds building back in and west winds at 5 to 10 mph.

Morning commuters from La Jolla to Chula Vista should anticipate low visibility during early hours, especially along I-5 and Highway 163. Winds could gust up to 20 mph Monday morning, adding extra caution for high-profile vehicles.

Residents are advised to allow extra travel time, keep headlights on during fog, and prepare for cooler, damp starts before skies brighten each afternoon.

This onshore flow will hold steady through midweek, with slight cooling by Wednesday as daytime highs drop into the low 70s. More updates could follow if fog deepens or spreads further inland.
