Cloverdale Township, MI – Fire crews contained a working barn fire on Camp Otto Road Wednesday evening, preventing injuries and further spread.
According to the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched just before 6:30 p.m. to assist Cataract Fire at the scene of the blaze. Tanker 78 and Engine 75 responded to the call.
Poland Fire Department was also on scene and assisted with extinguishing the fire. Officials said firefighters made a quick knockdown and were able to contain the flames to the south end of the structure on the second floor.
No injuries were reported.
Photos released by the department show visible exterior damage to the barn, with equipment stored nearby. Authorities did not immediately release information about the cause of the fire or the extent of structural damage.
The response drew multiple fire units to the rural roadway during the evening hours, an area frequently traveled by local residents and agricultural workers.
No additional hazards to the public were announced as of Tuesday night.
