Cleveland, Ohio – Stormy skies and summer heat will combine across northeast Ohio this weekend, with temperatures soaring into the 80s and heat indices nearing the low 90s from Saturday through Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the weekend, with the highest chances of rain (60–75%) occurring Saturday evening into early Sunday across cities like Elyria, Mansfield, and Youngstown. Some storms could bring gusty winds and heavy downpours, especially Saturday night.

From Akron-Canton to Toledo, residents can expect high humidity and temperatures holding steady in the mid to upper 80s. Cleveland may top out at 85°F both Saturday and Sunday. The risk of pop-up storms could disrupt outdoor plans, particularly in the afternoons and evenings.

Drivers should watch for slick roads during peak storm windows, especially along I-80 and Route 30. Residents are urged to avoid flooded roadways, secure outdoor items, and prepare for possible power outages if strong storms develop.

The unsettled pattern continues into early Monday with scattered light rain possible before a drier trend returns midweek. Additional watches or warnings may be issued if storm severity increases.
