Cleveland, Ohio – Wet roads and passing showers could slow the morning commute across northern Ohio, but conditions will improve quickly by midday as warmer air takes over.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, scattered showers will move northeast through the region this morning, impacting cities including Cleveland, Akron, Toledo, and Youngstown. Rain chances decrease by early afternoon as drier air moves in.

By mid to late afternoon, skies will begin to clear while temperatures climb into the low to mid-70s across much of the state. Breezy south winds will develop, with gusts between 20 and 30 mph, especially along Lake Erie and open roadways.

Drivers along I-90, I-71, and I-77 may encounter slick conditions early, followed by crosswinds during the afternoon hours. Outdoor plans later today should benefit from the warmer and drier pattern.

Residents are advised to allow extra travel time this morning and secure loose outdoor items ahead of gusty winds this afternoon.

Conditions remain mild into tonight, with additional chances for rain returning later, and updates expected as the pattern stays active.
