Cleveland, OH – A cold front sweeping across northern Ohio today will bring rain showers and gusty winds, according to the US National Weather Service Cleveland.

Rain is expected to move in from the west by mid-morning (around 8–10 AM) and spread eastward through midday. The front will exit the region by late afternoon, bringing drier and cooler air behind it.

Forecasters say winds will range from 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, especially along the Lake Erie shoreline and across higher terrain. While rainfall totals will generally remain light, brief heavier showers are possible during the late morning hours.

After the front passes, skies will begin to clear by evening with temperatures dropping into the 40s overnight. Saturday will be cooler but mostly dry, before another round of unsettled weather arrives late in the weekend.

Drivers should use caution during heavier rain bands, as gusty crosswinds could make travel difficult on north-south roads and elevated bridges.
