Cleveland, Ohio Weather: Thunderstorms Return Tonight Before Midweek Cooldown

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Sunshine across Northeast Ohio Monday will give way to a stormy night as a line of thunderstorms moves into the Cleveland area. Some storms could bring brief downpours and gusty winds, especially after midnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, there’s a 40% chance of thunderstorms overnight, increasing to 100% Tuesday as a cold front pushes through northern Ohio. Rain could be heavy at times, with totals up to an inch possible before skies clear by Wednesday morning.

Drivers should plan for wet roads and reduced visibility during the Tuesday morning commute, particularly along I-90 and I-480. Temperatures will fall from near 83°F today to around 70°F Tuesday before dipping into the low 50s Tuesday night.

By midweek, cooler and calmer weather settles in. Highs Wednesday through Friday will stay near 60°F, with sunshine and dry air making for crisp, fall-like conditions.

Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items and check for updates as additional advisories may be issued if storms intensify overnight.
