Ohio – Brake lights smear red across wet pavement this morning as fog and drizzle cling to Cleveland’s shoreline. Visibility drops at times, and damp roads create a slow, cautious start for drivers heading into the city.

According to the National Weather Service, areas of drizzle and patchy fog persist through late morning, with visibility briefly reduced below two miles. Temperatures hover near 40, keeping conditions chilly but above freezing. Drivers along I-90, I-71, and Route 2 should expect slick spots, especially on ramps and bridges.

Clouds dominate much of the day before skies gradually brighten. Highs reach the low 40s, offering little drying time for roadways. For now, allow extra space between vehicles and avoid sudden braking during the morning commute.

A bigger shift arrives Thursday. Sunshine breaks through, and temperatures climb into the low 50s as south winds strengthen. According to the National Weather Service, gusts could top 30 mph at times, especially near the lakeshore. By late day, clouds thicken again as the next system approaches.

Rain becomes likely Thursday evening and continues into Friday. Steady showers push highs toward the upper 50s, creating ponding on low-lying roads and reduced visibility during heavier rain. Travel may slow during peak hours as wet conditions linger through much of Friday.

Colder air slides in behind the rain late Friday night. Rain mixes with snow early Saturday, then turns mostly snow as temperatures fall. Accumulation remains uncertain, but slushy roads and reduced visibility are possible, especially south and east of downtown. Plan extra time if traveling this weekend.

Sunday stays blustery and colder, with highs near freezing and additional snow chances. Early next week trends quieter but firmly wintry.
