Cleveland, OH – A cold front crossing Northern Ohio this afternoon will bring gusty southwest to west winds and a noticeable drop in temperatures, according to the US National Weather Service Cleveland, OH.

The weather service reports that wind gusts may reach up to 30 mph during the frontal passage, particularly along the lakeshore and open areas. While most of the region will stay dry, a few isolated showers are possible in far Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania.

High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s today before cooler air settles in overnight, dropping lows into the upper 30s and low 40s by Tuesday morning. The front is expected to move through quickly, leaving behind clear skies and calmer conditions by late evening.

Forecasters emphasize that this will be a dry cold front for most of the area, marking the start of a seasonably cool pattern for early November.

Residents should secure lightweight outdoor items and prepare for a brisk evening commute as winds shift to the west.
