Cleveland, OH – Northeast Ohio will see a quieter and slightly milder day Tuesday following recent colder conditions, with dry weather expected and any lingering lake-effect snow ending early.

According to the National Weather Service office in Cleveland, Tuesday will be partly to mostly cloudy, with below-normal high temperatures across the region. Afternoon highs are expected to range from 32 to 35 degrees, including around 35 degrees in Cleveland, which is still cold for mid-December but warmer than Monday.

Forecasters say any lake-effect snow impacting northwest Pennsylvania will end by daybreak Tuesday, with little to no additional accumulation expected. Elsewhere across northern Ohio, conditions will remain dry throughout the day and into the evening hours.

Winds will be lighter compared to previous days, helping reduce wind chill concerns despite the cold temperatures. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, though brief breaks of sunshine are possible at times.

Temperatures early Tuesday morning dipped into the upper 20s to low 30s, and while readings will rise modestly through the afternoon, conditions will remain chilly for outdoor activities. Drivers should still watch for isolated slick spots early in the morning, especially on bridges and untreated roads.

Looking ahead, forecasters note that temperatures are expected to gradually moderate later in the week, with a chance for precipitation returning after Thursday. No significant weather hazards are expected Tuesday.

Residents are encouraged to dress warmly and take advantage of the calm weather before more active conditions return later in the week.
