CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cloudy skies across northern Ohio are expected to clear later Sunday, bringing sunshine and mild temperatures by the afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, morning clouds will gradually give way to sunny skies across much of the region as the day progresses.
Afternoon high temperatures are forecast to reach the upper 50s to lower 60s across cities including Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and Youngstown.
Areas near Lake Erie may remain slightly cooler, while inland locations could approach 60 degrees or slightly higher during peak afternoon heating.
The improving weather comes after a cloudy start to the day, with increasing sunshine expected through the afternoon hours.
Light winds and mild temperatures will create comfortable conditions for outdoor activities across northern Ohio.
Forecasters say the clearing skies could also improve travel conditions for commuters and residents heading out later Sunday after the cloudy morning.
Residents are encouraged to check local forecasts for any updates as conditions continue to improve through the afternoon.
