Cleveland, OH – After a dry and breezy start to the week, another round of showers and cooler air is on the way for northern Ohio beginning Tuesday, according to the US National Weather Service Cleveland.

High pressure will keep skies partly sunny today, with highs ranging from the mid-50s to low 60s. Winds will turn northwesterly this afternoon, gusting up to 25 mph, before relaxing overnight.

By Tuesday, a low-pressure system and a series of cold fronts will move into the region, bringing widespread rain showers and falling temperatures. Highs will reach the upper 50s to low 60s before dropping into the 40s by midweek.

Wednesday will stay cool and breezy with lingering showers and highs only in the low 50s. The weather service notes that additional cold fronts later in the week could reinforce the chill heading toward the weekend.

Residents across Cleveland, Akron, and Erie County should prepare for wet commutes Tuesday and a cooler, unsettled midweek stretch.
