Cleveland, OH – Rainy and chilly conditions continue across northern Ohio today as lake-effect rainfall downstream of Lakes Erie and Michigan persists through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

Forecasters say scattered showers will remain possible into the afternoon, with a few embedded thunderstorms. Temperatures will stay on the cool side, with highs in the low 50s and overnight lows dropping into the mid-30s to low 40s.

A high-pressure system is expected to move in from the west late tonight, gradually decreasing rainfall through Friday and bringing drier conditions into the weekend.

Residents should plan for damp roads and reduced visibility at times near the lakeshores today. While the weekend looks more settled, another system could approach early next week, keeping temperatures seasonably cool for late October.
