According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday to the Sunoco at 3615 Philadelphia Pike after receiving reports of gunfire.
Preliminary investigators said a gray sedan arrived at the gas station and parked near a fuel pump. The driver entered the convenience store. Shortly afterward, a second vehicle arrived and its occupants also went inside.
Police said that after a brief interaction between the two parties, the sedan’s driver ran back to his vehicle. As the other two individuals exited the store, an unknown suspect allegedly fired multiple handgun rounds from the sedan toward them.
All individuals fled the scene before troopers arrived.
No injuries were reported, according to police. However, the store sustained damage from the gunfire.
