Clark County, WA – Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office say a stolen-vehicle suspect led them on a dangerous pursuit Tuesday evening, allegedly ramming multiple patrol cars before being taken into custody near Dollars Corner.

According to the sheriff’s office, the incident began around 8 p.m. when deputies responded to a reported residential burglary and vehicle theft in Northeast Vancouver. The suspect allegedly stole a vehicle containing a firearm and fled the scene.

A short time later, officers located the vehicle parked at a Starbucks near West Main Street and SR-503 in Battle Ground. Battle Ground officers and deputies approached, believing the suspect was still inside. Because a firearm was reportedly involved, additional units — including CCSO vehicles equipped with a Grappler pit-immobilization system — were called in.

Deputies say that when officers moved in, the suspect accelerated rapidly, dodging vehicles and speeding out of the lot. A pursuit followed as stop sticks were deployed. Despite tire damage, the vehicle continued until deputies used the Grappler near Northeast 72nd Avenue and SR-502.

According to police, the suspect then allegedly rammed two patrol cars, causing significant damage and forcing deputies to jump out of the way to avoid being struck. No deputies were injured.

The suspect — identified by authorities as 40-year-old Danielle Crosby — was arrested on multiple felony charges, including Residential Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, Firearm Theft, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Assault II, and Felony Attempting to Elude. Deputies added that Crosby, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms and also has prior firearm-related charges. She was booked into the Clark County Jail.
