Clark County, WA – Deputies uncovered a major drug and firearms case this week after responding to reports of a vehicle break-in at a Hazel Dell apartment complex—leading to the discovery of 225 pounds of marijuana, three firearms, and multiple suspects allegedly tied to a commercial burglary in Portland.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the complex on Nov. 30 after witnesses reported men breaking into vehicles and transferring large bags between cars. When deputies arrived, nearly ten people allegedly ran into a nearby wooded area, abandoning multiple vehicles loaded with marijuana.

Inside four vehicles, deputies found large amounts of packaged and loose marijuana, marijuana plants, ammunition, and a .45-caliber Glock handgun. Due to the volume of drugs found, investigators contacted nearby agencies and learned that a commercial marijuana warehouse in Portland had allegedly been burglarized earlier that day.

Deputies later obtained search warrants for the vehicles and a nearby apartment unit where a strong odor of marijuana was detected. Inside the apartment, deputies allegedly found three individuals hiding—one under a bed and another under blankets—along with additional marijuana and two AR-15 rifles.

One suspect was arrested at the scene, and deputies say the investigation remains active with additional arrests expected.
