Clark County, IN – A Clark County man was arrested late Sunday after leading officers from the Clarksville Police Department and the Indiana State Police on a high-speed motorcycle pursuit.
According to Indiana State Police, the incident began around 10:30 p.m. on September 28, 2025, when a restaurant patron reported a motorcyclist driving recklessly after leaving a parking lot. The witness told police the operator briefly lost control before speeding off.
A Clarksville officer later spotted the motorcycle traveling more than 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on Lewis and Clark Parkway. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the rider allegedly fled northbound on I-65.
State Trooper Austin Baylor then joined the pursuit as the motorcycle entered I-265 and exited onto International Drive. Police said the operator weaved between lanes, drove into oncoming traffic, and continued at high speeds before eventually stopping near Old Salem Road. Officers reported the rider initially resisted before being taken into custody.
The driver was identified as 51-year-old Adam Douglas Reed of Utica, Indiana. Reed was charged with Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), OWI Endangerment, and Battery on Law Enforcement.
Reed was transported to the Clark County Jail following the arrest. No injuries were reported.
