New Bethlehem, PA – Pennsylvania State Police have confirmed that a man reported missing earlier this month in Clarion County has been found deceased, ending a multi-day investigation that prompted public tips and search efforts in the New Bethlehem area.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop D – Kittanning Station, 40-year-old Brandon Michael Franklin was reported missing by his mother on Wednesday, December 11. Authorities announced in an update released Sunday, December 22, that Franklin has since been located and is deceased. No cause of death was released.

State police said Franklin was last seen on Friday, December 6, at approximately 3:38 p.m. when he left the Press Your Luck Casino at 237 Broad Street in New Bethlehem with his brother and girlfriend. Investigators said Franklin later separated from them and continued on foot west along Hunter Way in New Bethlehem.

Police described Franklin as a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes. At the time he went missing, he was wearing a gray winter jacket, navy-blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and gray-and-white tennis shoes. Surveillance footage from the day he disappeared was reviewed as part of the investigation.

The Pennsylvania State Police, assisted by the New Bethlehem Fire Department, canvassed the surrounding area but initially reported negative results. PSP did not disclose where Franklin was ultimately located or whether foul play is suspected.

Authorities continue to ask anyone with information related to the case to contact PSP Kittanning Station at 724-543-2011 or submit tips anonymously through PSP Tips at p3tips.com.
