CINCINNATI, Ohio – A warm, calm stretch of October weather is ahead for southwest Ohio, but dense morning fog could slow Tuesday’s commute and early school buses along I-71 and I-75. Visibility may drop below a quarter mile in spots, prompting caution for drivers heading toward downtown Cincinnati or crossing the river into northern Kentucky.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, areas of fog will form again early Tuesday before sunshine breaks through by midmorning. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s through midweek, about 10 degrees above average for mid-October. The NWS advises drivers to allow extra time and use low beams when navigating rural or river valley routes early in the day.

Light northeast winds will hold the region’s pleasant fall pattern in place through Thursday. The calm setup makes this week ideal for outdoor plans, including fall park visits, leaf-viewing drives, and late-season yardwork. Cooler nights, however, will still dip into the 40s, allowing for crisp evenings and heavy dew by dawn.

Looking ahead, forecasters hint at a weak cold front sliding south by next weekend, possibly signaling the first noticeable “Fall Cold Snap” of the season by Saturday night. For now, though, sunshine dominates and Halloween decorators will enjoy several dry days to get displays in place.

Five-Day Forecast for Cincinnati, OH:
