Wilmington, OH – After a dry start to the week, the National Weather Service in Wilmington says rain is set to return across much of southwestern and central Ohio beginning Tuesday night, with the wettest period expected midweek.
Forecast data shows rain chances rising to 60–80% by Wednesday afternoon, continuing through Thursday as a low-pressure system tracks across the region. Areas including Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, and Chillicothe are likely to see steady rain, with lighter showers lingering into early Friday.
The NWS noted that the rainfall could provide some beneficial moisture following a stretch of dry fall weather. However, commuters should expect wet roads and slower travel times through midweek.
Rain chances gradually taper off late Friday, with mostly dry conditions expected to return for the weekend. Temperatures will stay mild, generally in the 50s to low 60s during the day and 40s overnight.
