Returning to the Village of New Lenox, Illinois, this holiday season, the event promises to transform the Village Commons into a dazzling winter wonderland. Starting from November 23 and running until January 8, the Village Commons will be illuminated with a spectacular light display that includes the United States’ largest lighted Santa Claus. This year, the display is adding exciting new features, promising an even more magical experience.
Mark your calendars for Saturdays and Sundays in December until Christmas Eve, when special events and activities will complement the luminous display. From visits with Santa to horse-drawn wagon rides, synthetic skating rinks to reindeer meet-and-greets, there’s no shortage of festive fun for everyone.
The Village of New Lenox welcomes visitors with open arms, offering free admission to all events and activities. And the best part? No tickets are needed to enter the holiday wonderland.
Holiday Market Opportunity
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. This year’s Christmas in the Commons features an exciting addition—an outdoor holiday market. The Village is actively seeking vendors to participate in this year’s market, adding a touch of shopping delight to the festive atmosphere. Interested vendors can apply by September 15, 2023, and acceptance notifications will be sent out no later than September 20, 2023.
The market will be held in the heart of the Village Commons at 101 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox, Illinois. Operating from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays—December 2, 9, 16, 23 and December 3, 10, 17—the market promises a unique shopping experience.
Vendors will receive an 8×8-foot chalet complete with heating, lighting, and access to power. A variety of holiday-themed goods will be on display, offering a fantastic opportunity to find that perfect, unique gift for loved ones.
