The New York City region is gearing up for another chilly night, with temperatures expected to fall into the 20s and low 30s for many inland and suburban locations. Areas outside the immediate urban heat island—such as interior New Jersey, the Hudson Valley, and parts of Connecticut—will see the coldest readings, with lows ranging from the upper 20s to mid-30s. Within New York City, temperatures will remain somewhat milder but still brisk, generally holding in the mid-30s.

Friday will bring a modest warmup, although clouds are expected to linger across the region. High temperatures will range from the upper 40s to the lower 50s, marking an improvement from Thursday but still maintaining a cool, late-autumn feel. Locations such as Poughkeepsie, Bridgeport, and White Plains are expected to reach the lower-50s, while coastal areas, including Montauk and New London, may push slightly warmer.

No major weather hazards are currently expected, but residents should prepare for another cold night, especially those traveling early Friday morning. Cloudy skies will likely persist into the afternoon, keeping temperatures from climbing much higher. With seasonal conditions settling in, the region is experiencing a typical November pattern of chilly nights and cool, overcast days.
