Child Killed by Intoxicated Driver: Heartbreaking Loss on Indiana Roadway Monday Afternoon 

LaGrange County, IN – A 7-year-old child was tragically killed after being struck by a drunk driver in LaGrange County on Monday afternoon.

The fatal incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on County Road 600 South. According to police, Eric Estrada, 26, was driving a 2015 Mercedes eastbound when two juvenile pedestrians attempted to cross the road. Estrada’s vehicle struck one of the children, who was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators determined that Estrada was under the influence at the time of the collision. He was subsequently arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated causing a fatality. The identity of the child has not been released.
