Chicago, IL – Breezy winds and seasonably cool temperatures are expected across the Chicago region Wednesday, followed by several days of mild, mostly quiet weather as the area transitions from October into November, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say Wednesday’s highs will reach between 54 and 58 degrees, with overnight lows dipping into the upper 30s and mid-40s. Winds will ease Thursday, leading to a stretch of calmer conditions and highs in the mid-50s through the weekend.

By Friday, clouds will increase with afternoon temperatures near 57°F. A few light rain showers may develop Saturday, particularly near the Lake Michigan shoreline, but no significant rainfall is expected. Sunday looks mostly dry, with highs again in the low- to mid-50s.

Forecasters note that Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday morning, when clocks should be set back one hour at 2 a.m.

Overall, the Chicago area can expect a cool but pleasant start to November, with mild days and chilly nights typical for late fall.
