Chicago, IL – The final days of October will bring typical fall weather across northern Illinois, with mild daytime highs and a chance of light rain heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.

Forecasters say Thursday and Friday will stay mostly dry and partly sunny, with highs ranging from 54°F to 57°F. A few sprinkles could develop late Friday evening as a weak disturbance passes through the area.

Scattered light rain showers are possible Saturday, especially around the Chicago metro and near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Temperatures will remain steady in the low to mid-50s, dropping into the 30s overnight.

Sunday brings drier skies and seasonal conditions with highs in the mid-50s before a warming trend begins Monday, when highs could reach near 60°F. Daylight Saving Time also ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, giving residents an extra hour of rest before the new week begins.
