Chicago Weather: Cold Front Brings Breezy, Sunny Afternoon; Windy Days Ahead

Chicago, IL – A cold front sweeping across the region today is set to bring an end to morning showers and thunderstorms, making way for a sunny, breezy afternoon south of I-80. Temperatures are expected to range between 76-81°F, providing a pleasant relief after the morning’s stormy conditions.

According to the US National Weather Service Chicago, isolated to scattered showers will accompany another cold front passage tonight, with lows dipping to 56-63°F. Thursday and Friday are forecasted to be particularly windy, with gusts potentially reaching 40 mph from the west-northwest. Highs on Thursday will be between 71-79°F, while Friday will see temperatures ranging from 69-77°F.

The weekend is anticipated to remain comfortable with continued low humidity. Saturday’s highs will be between 70-78°F, and Sunday will be slightly cooler, especially along the Indiana shore, with highs ranging from 67-78°F. Lows for the weekend nights will hover between 51-59°F.

No significant storm activity is expected into early next week. However, a few spotty showers are possible on Saturday evening and Sunday. Residents are advised to stay updated with local forecasts as conditions can change.
