Chicago Man Arrested in Alleged Wheaton Home Invasion, Facing Felony Charges

Wheaton, IL – A Chicago man has been arrested in connection with an alleged home invasion early Thursday in Wheaton.

Lee Owens, 42, was charged after allegedly breaking into a residence on the 200 block of Verdi Court around 1:55 a.m. and threatening the occupant with a firearm. According to Wheaton Police, the suspect, known to the victim, fled before officers arrived but was apprehended shortly after. Authorities recovered a firearm matching the description given by the victim.

The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Owens with home invasion with a firearm and other felonies. He is being held in DuPage County Jail pending trial.
