Drivers should allow extra travel time on major routes including I-90, I-94, and the Stevenson Expressway. A few thunderstorms may briefly produce heavier downpours that reduce visibility even further.
Storm activity gradually eases later today, though scattered showers could linger into the evening. Breezy southwest winds may gust near 25 mph at times, especially near the lakefront.
