Chicago, IL – Light rain chances linger across northern Illinois through Saturday before drier and sunnier weather returns for the start of the new week, according to the US National Weather Service Chicago.

A few isolated sprinkles are possible this afternoon and evening, though most areas will remain dry. Shower chances increase slightly on Saturday (40–50%), mainly north of Interstate 80 and near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Highs will stay cool in the upper 40s to low 50s, with overnight lows dipping into the 30s.

Sunday brings improving conditions with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s. Temperatures then warm into the upper 50s and low 60s by Monday and Tuesday, marking a brief return to above-normal readings.

Residents can expect a breezy but seasonable Halloween weekend, with minimal rain impacts for outdoor activities.
