According to the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon, with a 30-50% chance of storms between 2 and 7 p.m. Some storms may become severe, bringing gusty winds and heavy downpours. The main threats include localized flooding and wind gusts up to 40 mph, which could down small branches and move light objects.
As a cold front approaches, storms are expected to continue into the evening and overnight, becoming more widespread. The cold front will pass through by Wednesday morning, bringing a shift to drier, breezier conditions. Wednesday’s high will range from 77 to 82 degrees, with isolated to scattered showers ending by the afternoon.
The weather will remain windy on Thursday, with gusts from the west-northwest reaching 30 to 40 mph. Thursday’s high will be between 73 and 79 degrees. By Friday, the region will experience cooler and more pleasant weather, with highs in the low 70s and breezy conditions.
