Chicago, IL – Two Chicago men have been charged in the burglary of Von Maur in Orland Park, where over $33,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. The incident took place on October 21, 2022, at the Orland Square Drive location.

According to the Orland Park Police Department, Clifford Fields, 32, and Jerrod Brim, 29, allegedly broke into the store, smashing display cases and stealing high-valued purses. The suspects reportedly wore masks and black clothing, and were armed with a baseball bat and bolt cutters. They fled the scene in a vehicle reported stolen from Chicago.

DNA evidence from the bolt cutters left at the scene led to the identification of Fields and Brim. Both have prior records for similar crimes. Brim was taken into custody on January 8, 2024, following a court appearance for an unrelated case. He faces charges of Commercial Burglary (Class 2 Felony). Fields surrendered to the police on January 17, 2024, receiving the same charge.
