Chicago, IL – It’s shaping up to be a quiet and pleasant Saturday across northern Illinois, with mild temperatures and dry skies expected through the Columbus Day holiday weekend, according to the US National Weather Service Chicago Illinois.

Forecasters say highs today will reach the upper 60s to low 70s, staying cooler near the lakeshore where breezes keep temperatures in the mid-60s. Overnight lows will fall into the low to mid-40s.

Sunday and Monday will bring more sunshine and comfortable conditions, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s inland. No rain is expected through at least midweek, as high pressure continues to dominate the region’s weather pattern.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, highs will hover in the mid-60s to low 70s, with cooler mornings and clear skies—ideal for fall outings, travel, or Columbus Day events.

According to the Weather Service, this dry stretch could persist into late week before cooler, unsettled weather makes a return.
