Cheyenne, Wyoming — Strong winds and warm temperatures are expected to continue across southeast Wyoming through the weekend and into early next week, forecasters say.

According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, High Wind Warnings remain in effect across parts of southeast Wyoming, where gusts could reach 35 to 50 mph during the daytime hours.

Winds are expected to ease somewhat overnight before increasing again each morning, creating a repeating pattern of breezy to windy conditions through Monday.

Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies with breezy conditions, with highs expected to reach 45 to 55 degrees east of Interstate 25 and 35 to 45 degrees west of the interstate.

The warming trend continues Sunday and Monday, when temperatures could climb into the upper 50s to low 70s, accompanied by persistent southwest winds between 25 and 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

A cold front is expected to move through the region Tuesday, bringing cooler temperatures and a 30–45% chance of rain or snow showers.

Forecasters say winds will remain elevated through much of the period, potentially affecting travel for high-profile vehicles on exposed roadways across southeast Wyoming.

For commuters and students traveling across the Cheyenne area, strong crosswinds may create difficult driving conditions, particularly on open highways and rural roads.
