Cheyenne, WY – The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a High Wind Watch for parts of southeast Wyoming, including stretches of Interstate 80 and Interstate 25, beginning 8 a.m. Monday through 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Forecasters expect sustained winds of 30–40 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph possible in wind-prone areas such as Arlington/Elk Mountain along I-80, the South Laramie Range Foothills, and Bordeaux along I-25.

These strong winds could make travel difficult, particularly for lightweight or high-profile vehicles, including RVs and semi-trucks. Motorists are advised to use caution and check wyoroad.info or dial 511 for updated road and travel information.

The weather service notes that conditions could change, and this watch may be upgraded to a High Wind Warning if confidence increases.
