Chester County, SC – Deputies with the Chester County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday during an enforcement operation in the Great Falls area that led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and Xanax, according to a department release.

The operation, conducted October 23 by the Narcotics and Violent Crimes Unit, Directed Patrol Unit, and Uniform Patrol Department, resulted in the arrest of Blake Howard Horton.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies recovered approximately 23 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and 16 dosage units of a substance believed to be alprazolam (commonly known as Xanax).

Horton has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine (10–28 grams, third or subsequent offense), possession with intent to distribute a Schedule IV controlled substance (alprazolam), and assault and battery related to an outstanding warrant.

The Sheriff’s Office noted the case remains under investigation. No further details were immediately released.
