West Bradford Township, Pa. – State police are searching for a New York man accused of attempting to enter a Chester County home Friday morning, prompting an active investigation.

According to Pennsylvania State Police at the Embreeville Station, the incident occurred Feb. 20 at 7:56 a.m. at a residence on Anderlea Drive in West Bradford Township.

Investigators identified the suspect as Denis Boss, 42, of Staten Island, New York. Police allege Boss arrived at the residence in a white 2025 Jaguar F-Pace bearing New York registration IWT3419.

Troopers said Boss allegedly told a resident he was there to deliver a rose for someone named “Shirley.” Homeowners informed police they have no connections to anyone from New York and do not know anyone by that name.

According to authorities, surveillance footage showed Boss acting suspiciously outside the front of the residence. He allegedly attempted to open the front door but was unsuccessful because it was locked. Police also allege he removed several pieces of mail from the victim’s mailbox before returning to his vehicle.

Boss has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as wanted.
