Elmira, NY – The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office released its daily arrest report Wednesday, detailing two arrests made in Catlin and Pine City between September 30 and October 1.

According to Sheriff William A. Schrom, David R. Wing, 55, of Catlin, was arrested on September 30 on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear. Wing allegedly failed to appear on charges of menacing in the second degree and resisting arrest, originally issued by Catlin Town Court on September 18, 2024. Wing was arraigned and later released.

On October 1, deputies arrested Jordan D. Goodwin, 33, of Pine City, after a motorcycle pursuit that began on Cedar Street in the Town of Southport and ended on Hendy Creek Road. According to deputies, Goodwin allegedly attempted to flee a police officer and obstruct governmental administration, both Class A misdemeanors. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction within ten years, a Class E felony. Goodwin was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Southport Town Court.

The Sheriff’s Office stated both cases remain active in Chemung County courts.
