Wenatchee, WA – A 28-year-old Wenatchee man was arrested Sunday evening after Chelan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a stabbing in the 100 block of Boodry Street.
According to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 5:11 p.m. on September 28 and found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to Central Washington Hospital for treatment.
Deputies said the suspect, identified as Miguel Angel Hernandez-Hernandez, allegedly stabbed the victim during an argument. Investigators reported that the suspect had prior conflicts with another individual at the scene. When a fight broke out, the victim attempted to intervene before Hernandez-Hernandez allegedly stabbed him with a small folding knife and fled.
Authorities later located Hernandez-Hernandez at a residence in the 900 block of Cherry Street, where he was taken into custody with assistance from local agencies. He was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on suspicion of first-degree assault, domestic violence.
The sheriff’s office said both the suspect and the victim live at the same residence on Boodry Street. Deputies added they will continue working to ensure community safety.
