According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, highs will reach the upper 80s today and climb to near 91 on Saturday under clear skies. Winds will remain light, but rising humidity could make the afternoons feel warmer.

Sunday will stay mostly sunny with highs around 88, though clouds increase late in the day. By Sunday night, a slight chance of showers develops, marking the start of a wetter stretch for the state. Rain and thunderstorms are most likely from Monday into Tuesday, when scattered storms could affect Charleston, Huntington, and Beckley. More showers are expected midweek, with temperatures cooling into the low 80s by Thursday. Weather service officials note additional advisories may be issued if storms become severe.
