Charleston, WV – Rain returns to the Charleston area Tuesday with intermittent showers expected through early Wednesday, before a gradual warm-up pushes temperatures into the 70s by Friday.
According to the US National Weather Service Charleston WV, rain will arrive in multiple waves beginning Tuesday morning and continuing into early Wednesday. High temperatures will dip into the upper 40s to mid-50s during this stretch. Dry conditions are forecast to return by Thursday, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-60s.
While fire weather concerns have eased following recent rainfall, forecasters caution that dry, breezy conditions today (Monday) could still pose minor risks in areas with dry vegetation. A second round of showers is possible Friday, although precipitation will remain scattered and localized.
Highs by Friday are projected to range from 64 to 72 degrees, marking a noticeable warming trend heading into the weekend.
Travelers and residents are advised to plan around the rain on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, particularly during commuting hours. Umbrellas and raincoats will be necessary during wet periods.
