Channahon, IL – A loud noise this afternoon caused concern for some Channahon residents after it was heard in various parts of the village. Authorities quickly responded to calls and confirmed that the source of the sound came from the nearby Dresden Generating Station.
According to the Channahon Police Department, plant staff confirmed that a transformer blew, resulting in the loud noise. However, the situation has since been resolved, and there is no ongoing danger to the public.
