CHAMPAIGN, IL – The Champaign Police Department is teaming up with The H.O.Y.C.E. Center this holiday season to support local families through its annual Season of Giving campaign. The drive, which runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 1, collects new, unwrapped toys, pajamas, and books for children ages 0–17.

According to The H.O.Y.C.E. Center, several drop-off locations are open throughout Champaign County, including the Champaign Police Department at 82 E. University Avenue, the Urbana Police Department, and multiple Urbana Park District centers. Donations can also be made at Mix 94.5 / The Wibe 97.9 studios in Champaign, the Rantoul Business Center, and Thomasonboro Town Hall.

Residents can also scan the QR code on the official event flyer to make a digital donation or register for a holiday giveaway scheduled for Dec. 6.

Organizers say every donation helps ensure children in need have a brighter holiday season. “It’s about community and giving back,” event coordinators shared in a statement.
