According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, winds will remain light Wednesday, shifting from west to east as the evening cools into the lower 60s. The dry stretch ends Thursday night, when a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms develops, expanding into Friday and the weekend with more widespread storm chances.
The heat breaks slightly by Friday, with highs in the mid-80s. Storms could bring gusts up to 22 mph, especially across Fremont County and along U.S. Highway 26. Drivers should remain alert for reduced visibility and wet roads during passing storms.
