Green Bay, WI – Flooding continues to impact central Wisconsin, with warnings issued for multiple counties following severe storms.
A River Flood Warning remains in effect for the Little Wolf River south of the Manawa dam until late Monday morning. According to the US National Weather Service Green Bay, residents should stay updated on river levels and avoid driving on flooded roads. On Friday, flash flood warnings were issued for several counties, including Waupaca, Outagamie, and southern Brown. Over five inches of rain fell near Manawa, causing major street flooding and prompting evacuations, including a local nursing home.
The NWS reported that heavy rain on Friday afternoon caused flooding in central Wisconsin and the Fox Valley, with rain showers potentially persisting through the evening. Additional rainfall is not expected to worsen existing floods. Residents were advised to seek higher ground, especially downstream from the Manawa dam and Little Wolf River.
Saturday’s forecast indicates a brief reprieve with highs of 75-80°F and a chance of isolated showers in the afternoon. Widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected to return on Sunday, with highs around 78°F. The forecast for the upcoming week shows varied weather, with more rain likely on Monday and Tuesday, followed by partly cloudy skies midweek.
