MOSES LAKE, Wash. – A cold, calm night is setting the stage for widespread frost across Central Washington, where a Frost Advisory remains in effect through 9 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Spokane.

Temperatures are expected to dip to around 32°F in the Moses Lake area, including Ephrata, Quincy, Othello, and Grand Coulee. The chill could harm or kill unprotected garden plants and outdoor vegetation as light frost develops before sunrise.

According to the NWS, residents should cover sensitive plants or move them indoors overnight. Early commuters may also find light frost on windshields, especially along Highways 17 and 28 where overnight lows tend to fall fastest in open areas.

The region will warm quickly after sunrise, with highs returning to the upper 60s under sunny skies. However, another frosty morning could return by midweek if calm, clear conditions persist.
