Central Texas Weather Alert: Warm Days, Cool Nights This Week

Austin, TX – Central Texas residents can expect a warm and mostly dry week ahead, with highs climbing into the upper 80s and low 90s today before peaking in the mid-90s by midweek. Nights will bring some relief, dipping into the 60s and low 70s.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin-San Antonio, skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy Monday with light east winds of 5 to 10 mph. The region will stay dry through much of the week, with no significant rain expected until the weekend. Forecast models show only a slight chance of showers returning by Saturday and Sunday.

Daytime highs will remain consistent across the region, ranging from 88°F in Del Rio to 92°F in San Antonio by Monday afternoon. Austin and surrounding Hill Country areas will stay in the 80s and low 90s before pushing hotter by midweek.

The pattern of warm days and cooler nights will persist, with overnight lows in Fredericksburg, Kerrville, and surrounding Hill Country communities dipping to the mid-60s, while metro areas like San Antonio and Austin stay closer to the 70s.

Travelers and outdoor planners are advised to prepare for continued dry conditions, with no measurable rain expected until at least Saturday.
